About Me
My name is Karolina Stranz, aged 30, I am an OFSTED registered childminder with a young child of my own, so I understand how difficult it can sometimes be for parents returning to work with the need for flexible childcare.
I originate from Poland and can speak both English and Polish fluently. I qualified as a teacher in Poland in 2000, moving to the Uk in 2006 to gain further qualifications to teach English in Poland, however I settled in the Uk and wished to continue my work with children.
I live in a semi detached home in Bradford. With over 10 years experience working with children, I am very committed to the service that I provide. I work professionally, with high standards and in close partnership with parents. My home is very child oriented, welcoming & friendly and I am a warm, caring, calm, organised & safety conscious person, this helps babies and children to settle quickly and securely with me.
I have comprehensive plans, policies and procedures which I follow covering all aspects of my setting, providing important information and peace of mind for parents. I fully appreciate the responsibility involved when caring for someone’s child. Parents are central to their child’s life and the ones making decisions on their behalf. I therefore always do my best to be supportive and involve parents, to in still confidence, to meet their wishes and their child’s needs, working together for the benefit of their child.
Sharing information is made a high priority, allowing parents vital involvement in their child’s day and providing continuity of their child’s care. I use a daily diary so that information can be exchanged about a child’s time with me. I make observations of children from birth to age five, in order to chart their progress and record their achievements whilst they are with me. This record is presented when a child leaves my setting, it can be shared with their future carer or educator or can be kept as a keepsake.
